Spring Break is coming soon. Everyone is excited for the warmer weather after a long cold winter. In this article, I am collaborating with Vancity.kids to share 15 Things to do in Metro Vancouver, BC during spring break with kids. This list will help you to survive the two weeks break from school, have quality time with your kids while exploring awesome places throughout our beautiful cities in lower mainland, BC. I have detailed reviews for each location on my instagram posts, make sure to stop by and check them out on my instagram account @angielowis.
After 3 years of pandemic pause, Monster Jam is back to Vancouver. So many people are very excited for this event, including my 5 year old and me. Make sure to grab your tickets to watch the world-class athletes driving a 12,000 pound machine doing backflips, vertical two-wheel tricks and fly through the air.
Make sure to check out the new exhibition at Science World where the kids can learn about the T.rex family and play with interactive play throughout the exhibitions. Do not forget to stop by at Wonder, Eureka, Body Works and other sections at Science World as well. This is one of our favorite places where we can spend hours learning while playing. If you have extra time, make sure to stop by Creekside Park where it has a sandpit, nice slide and beautiful view at the playground.
There will be spring break activities, take-home craft kits, scavenger hunts complete with prizes, a seed craft, bubbles and appearances by a special guest-Raj the raccoon. Quiet room will also be open with coloring pages and environmental books to relax with. Open from 1-4 pm. Make sure to pre-register for TD Explore Zone as well. We love going here since Brandon was a baby, keep checking their website for awesome events and exhibitions. Couple years ago they had Lego and dinosaur exhibitions.
Explore and enjoy the history packed in 10-acre open-air museum. My son loves going around the town, going inside the historic building and riding the carousel.
Our new favorites go to place as we soar over Legendary Iceland while learning the culture and history of the Iceland.
Each day over March Break, participating Cineplex theaters are showing below movies for the price of $2.99 per ticket. My son loves the experience of watching movies at the theater so we will watch these during spring break for sure. March Break Movies for 2022:
Take the kids to ride the aquabus, ride bumper cars and play arcades at Granville Island Kids Market. Enjoy the view and nearby playground. There is also another playground that is really beautiful near Granville Island that has a pirate ship: Charleson Park. The view is just breathtaking.
18,000sq ft indoor playground city. Perfect for kids to play while learning and using their imagination. If your kids love pretend play, this place is a must.
One of my son’s favorite indoor playgrounds. It will keep your children busy and entertained for the whole 2 hours. My son usually goes over and over again to the volcano slides. The jungle gym is huge, complete with donut slides and bouncy castle. Laser tag is also available for extra cost.
My son really went bananas when we went to Go Bananas. The combination of jungle gym and arcade is perfect for us.
If it is raining outside, no need to worry. Below are our favorite indoor arcades throughout the cities:
Perfect to spend a day trip where kids can see and learn about the animals.
Amazing place to explore, learn and discover about animals.
A bit outside from Metro Vancouver, but would like to recommend this place as well. Good size theme park if you have little kids since all the rides are close to each other. We went here last summer and had a blast.
