This annual art installation is created by upcycled materials collected from the ocean and raises awareness on the impacts of plastic and waste entangling with the vibrant life in our Coastal waters. Learn more about our ocean life and how oceans are being conserved and protected with our weekly Outreach Partners: Parks Canada Southern Resident Killer Whale outreach team—October 19, 27, 31, November 3. Visitors may wander through the Herring Reduction Plant to discover the art crafted from Styrofoam and plastic materials transformed into unique pieces that demonstrate how art and sustainability are connected. This captivating art installation will also include low lighting, black lights and a smoke machine for effects, but will not have any jump scares or strobe lights, making this a family-friendly event and suitable for children of all ages.
