Looking for a fun, active, and completely free family event this summer? Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 20, 2026, when the City of Delta hosts the brand-new Barns to Beaches Festival — a full day of cycling, live music, food and family-friendly fun.
The day kicks off with a community bike ride along Delta’s scenic Barns to Beaches route, connecting Tsawwassen and Ladner through beautiful shoreline paths and farmland. Families can choose from three ride options: a 1km Kids Ride around the festival site, an easy 8km Leisure Ride to the Boundary Bay dike, or a 32km Full Course Ride for more experienced cyclists. Celebration stations along the route feature music, snacks and photo opportunities to keep things fun and engaging for kids and adults alike.
After the ride, the festival continues from 2:00pm to 9:00pm at Southlands Red Barn in Tsawwassen. Families can enjoy food trucks, craft beverages for adults, community booths, and interactive activities for kids. The main stage features local performers throughout the afternoon, leading up to an evening concert by Canadian rock favourites 54-40.
There’s also an Adventure Expo (10:00am–6:00pm) with cycling vendors, outdoor exhibitors, a BC Lions meet-and-greet, guest rider Q&As and even an e-bike draw.
Festival admission is free, but advance registration is required.
