We are excited to share our recent stay at Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites, a locally owned and operated hotel since 1975. This is our second time staying at the hotel with the family and we had a wonderful time. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

About the Room

Our one bedroom suite was located on the 14th floor and came equipped with two queen beds, a microwave, a small fridge, a dining table for 2, a walk-out balcony and a separate sitting area. This room had a sofa bed, but not all their suites have sofa beds – so if you need the extra sleeping space, do inquire. There is no central air conditioning; however, there is an air conditioning unit in the room. We mostly kept the windows open and it kept the room nice and breezy. Even thou the building was built in 1975, most rooms have been recently renovated. They were the perfect size for a family, with enough space for kids to walk around and play. The beds were also really comfortable and we all had a great night sleep.

Amenities

When we book hotels, the first thing I look at are swimming pools. My kids love swimming and they always expect a swimming pool at the hotel we’re staying in. Chateau Victoria has a gorgeous indoor pool, hot tub and exercise room. I love how their indoor pool has skylights and comfortable patio chairs to sit on. The kids had so much fun in the pool, they didn’t want to leave.

Other amenities include:

  • parking area
  • meeting rooms
  • laundry / dry cleaning service
  • dog friendly rooms and suite available
  • 2 limited accessible rooms available
  • two dining options: Vista 18 + Lounge and Clive’s Classic Lounge
  • charging stations for electric vehicles
  • complimentary shuttle service to restaurants, attractions, and transportation terminals in Downtown Victoria (or within 5-minutes driving time of the hotel)

Location

Chateau Victoria is situated at the heart of downtown, literally 5 – 10 minutes walk to your favourite restaurants and attractions. We were here during Victoria weekend and we only had to walk a few blocks to watch the parade. The BC Royal Museum, Miniature World, Victoria Bug Zoo, Chinatown, Russell Books, and the harbour were also just a walk away. Some of our favourite restaurants and dessert spots nearby were Red Fish Blue Fish, Beaver’s Tail, Chocolats Favoris, Pagliacci’s, and Frankie’s Modern Diner. Chateau Victoria location is perfect for families. For more information: https://chateauvictoria.com/

It has been almost six years since we brought the family to Victoria and I forgot how beautiful Victoria is. We were lucky to have beautiful sunny weather during our stay.
