Chinese New Year is one of my favourite festivals. When we were kids, we would look forward to the red candy holders that my mom would put out. It held 8 different types of treats and I remember how we would sneak a few treats every time we passed by the candy box on the days leading up to Chinese New Year. Now, my kids look forward to putting treats in our red candy holders and sneaking a treat or two every time they pass by it as well. This year, Chinese New Year is February 1 and we’re excited to share these local businesses’ crafted treats to celebrate Chinese New Year. I love how it has grown to a celebration where everyone can partake in. Hopefully you’ll find some goodies that you can add to your red candy holder or to your celebration. We have also added some special CNY food and gifts! Wishing you a wonderful Tiger year.
