Metro Vancouver Charity and Toy Drive Guide 2025

The holiday season is a great time to spread kindness. Metro Vancouver has many charity and toy drive events that support local families. If you want to donate toys, help a community program, or give to a local nonprofit, this guide makes it easy. We highlight long-running drives and new community efforts across the Lower Mainland. Explore the list below and find a simple way to give back this year.

Charity and Toy Drive: Richmond Christmas Fund Online Auction

For the sixth year in a row, the Richmond Christmas Fund is hosting an online auction! As always, we’ve assembled a dazzling selection of items, all of them kindly donated by local businesses and individual supporters. You’ll find restaurant gift cards and bottles of wine, rounds of golf and unique handmade gifts. Could you do your holiday shopping entirely through the auction? Absolutely. Just remember to get something for yourself, too!

With low starting bids across the board, you’re almost guaranteed to score some amazing deals. At the same time, don’t be afraid to splurge. After all, 100% of proceeds will help brighten the holidays for families in need!

Richmond Christmas Fund ‘Sharing the Holiday Spirit’ 50/50 Raffle

When you support the Christmas Fund, you always come out a winner, because you’re making your community a little better and the holiday season a lot brighter. This year, though, you can win in a more literal sense, by taking part in our online 50/50 raffle! Running from November 27 to December 11, the raffle gives you a chance to share half the jackpot, while helping families in need share in the holiday spirit.

Vancouver Firefighter Charities

On on Thurs., Dec. 4 VFC members will hit the streets from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to receive donations and toys from the public during a London Drugs Toy Drive at the Signature Granville (710 Granville St.) and West Broadway (525 West Broadway) locations. A brass band, antique fire engine will also be on site at the Granville location. Last year, the VFC and the two London Drugs stores were able to collect hundreds of toys and more than $50,000 in donations.

 38th AnnualChristmas Wish Breakfast & Toy Drive on Tues., Dec. 10th at the Pan Pacific Hotel as VFC — and Jolly Old Saint Nick himself — will gather in the lobby from 6 to 11 a.m. to accept unwrapped gifts and assemble already donated toys into a majestic Christmas tree-shaped mountain of gifts that will all be donated to families in need by the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau (LMCB). This includes a parade and cheque presentation set to begin at 8 a.m.

Metropolis at Metrotown: Burnaby Christmas Bureau Toy Drive

On December 6, donate a new, unwrapped toy in support of the Burnaby Christmas Bureau. Metropolis at Metrotown is hosting its annual Toy Drive with the Burnaby Christmas Bureau. Visit Ground Level at Metropolis at Metrotown near Baskin Robbins to donate. Cash donations are also accepted. First 100 guests to make a cash donation of $20 or more in-centre will receive a $10 centre gift card! In addition, each donation qualifies for a chance to win a $100 centre gift card.

Metropolis at Metrotown: Toy Room

The Met is once again teaming up with Burnaby Christmas Bureau to host The Toy Room – a holiday initiative designed to provide new toys to children from low-income families in Burnaby. Throughout the holidays, eligible families in need are invited to visit the Toy Room and choose from a selection of toys, books and gifts. Community members can support by donating new, unwrapped toys directly at the Toy Room (located in the upper level, next to Winners). Donations will be accepted from November 1 to December 20. Metropolis at Metrotown: Charity Gift Wrap

Marvel at stunning holiday decor while getting your gifts beautifully wrapped at the Charity Gift Wrap Station. From November 12 until December 24, the Met will be dazzling with seasonal decor throughout the entire shopping centre. With plenty of photo opportunities, guests can capture memorable moments as they wait for their gifts to be wrapped at the charity gift wrap station – sponsored by Coast Capital Savings – from December 1-24.

Christmas Wish Breakfast

Bring an unwrapped gift and enjoy a complimentary breakfast, live entertainment, and a visit from Mrs. and Mr. Claus! Entry to the event is by donation of a new unwrapped toy, cash, or gift cards. If you can’t attend the event, drop off your new unwrapped toy at 2nd Floor, Admin Office, Langley City Hall (20399 Douglas Crescent). All gifts will go to the Langley Christmas Bureau.

ACCESS- Aboriginal Community Career Employment Services Society nonprofit and their charity organization Urban Spirit Foundation

Join us for a delicious chile and and Indigenous bannock lunch in support of our charitable organization, Urban Spirit Foundation. Urban Spirit Foundation works to further the success and self-reliance of Urban Indigenous youth in the Metro Vancouver region by providing education and training opportunities via scholarships and other educational financial support.Chili, bannock and drink: $18. There will also be a Christmas bake sale.

Holiday Charity Gift Wrapping

From Friday, December 5 to Wednesday, December 24 SHARE Family & Community Services will be offering holiday gift wrap services for a fee.

All funds go to support SHARE’s holiday programs SHARE JOY.

The SHARE Charity Gift Wrapping Booth will be located on Level 2 by H&M and Walmart and will be open all shopping centre hours.

SHARE ToyBank

This holiday season, Coquitlam Centre has once again partnered with SHARE Family & Community Services on their annual ToyBank.

From Sunday, November 23 until Wednesday, December 24, the SHARE ToyBank, located on Level 2 between Walmart and H&M will be accepting new unwrapped toys, gift cards, and credit or debit donations (no cash please).

SHARE the Joy this holiday season and help SHARE brighten the lives of over 1,700 families in the Tri-Cities.

While all donations are greatly appreciated, this year SHARE is specifically requesting gifts for teens and weeks aged 6 to 17

Options Community Services Family Christmas Hamper Fundraiser

Support your community by adopting a low-income family and sponsor a Christmas Hamper today. Each year at Christmastime, Options relies on generous donations from caring individuals, to provide food and gifts to the families that Options works with. Options coordinates Christmas hampers for the families and individual we work with, and who are not eligible for help through the Surrey Christmas Bureau. Help us provide for as many of these disadvantaged families as possible sponsor a family Options works with, this Christmas season! Visit website to donate a hamper or multiple hampers.

Burnaby Christmas Bureau

The Burnaby Christmas Bureau provides Christmas cheer to people with low income and living in Burnaby through our Toy Room and Seniors Hamper Program. This continues to be challenging times for many people and we are anticipating great need again for families with children, and seniors with low income.

Burnaby Neighbourhood House’s Gift Wrap Fundraising

Need gifts wrapped? Consider heading to Burnaby Neighbourhood House’s Gift Wrap booth at Metropolis at Metrotown (by the Winners/Homesense store). Our trained volunteers will be there from December 1 to 24, ready to wrap your presents by donation!  Funds raised will go towards our most underfunded programs.

Family Services of Greater Vancouver | Caring Neighbours

This holiday season, FSGV is inviting you to Give the Gift of Brighter Tomorrows. By supporting the work FSGV does this holiday season, you’re making sure survivors, families, and unhoused youth have the help they need when they need it most. PYK Consultants Ltd warmly invite you to join the Christmas Wreath Making Workshop on November 22 & 23 — a joyful, hands-on experience where you’ll create your very own festive wreath guided by professional floral instructors. Charity and Toy Drive: Richmond RCMP Toy Drive at Lansdowne Centre Calls for Community Support

Lansdowne Centre is once again partnering with the Richmond RCMP to host the 11th Annual Richmond RCMP Toy Drive. This event also marks the 93rd year of the Richmond Christmas Fund, organized by Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives (RCRG), which aims to encourage the public to support the families in need by donating toys during the holiday season. 

Community members are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys for the Richmond Christmas Fund, or make a minimum $10 donation. As a token of appreciation, everyone who contributes will receive a complimentary bag of mini donuts.

The event will also feature family-friendly holiday activities, community booths, photos with Santa, and a full-size street hockey rink, where members of the Richmond RCMP and the Richmond Sockeyes will face off against local VIPs.

In 2024, the Toy Drive achieved record success, raising over $33,000 and collecting 2.5 tonnes of toys, bringing holiday warmth to more than 1,300 community members, including 550 children and youth.
